Main objective:
To reach new groups of the general public with information about adaptation to climate change.

The target group
Within the proposed project we are targeting:
(1) the local authorities,
(2) the national authorities,
(3) the Romanian and European NGO community,
(4) the national and international virtual community aware on climate change.

imagine secundarã The proposed project aimes to promote a sustainable use of biomass from agriculture for energy purpose.

To fulfill this goal, the following objectives are proposed:
1. To promote and implement a sustainable solution for heating in both village hall and residential buildings in Vlad Tepes, based on the use of agricultural waste biomass;
2. To increase the capacity of local community in Vlad Tepes to participate at taking and implementing decisions to increase the weight of renewable energy;

imagine secundarã The goal of the current project is to provide a correct and profound understanding of these issues to the key players in the nuclear sector (authorities, investors, communities).

Objectives:
1. To promote the reaction towards the construction of the Belene nuclear power plant of the Romanian comunities residing in the vicinity in areas that are exposed to the potential threat of the construction
2. To provide potential investors (and their Romanian representatives) interested by the development of the Belene nuclear project with information on the negative impact the nuclear power plant will have on the environment and human life and the negative reactions of the local comunities and environment NGOs from the countries participating in the project.

Objectives:
1. to increase the awareness level of the municipality authorities regarding climate change;
2. to increase the information level of the public authorities of Romania’s municipalities regarding the necessity to act locally for mitigation of climate change;

imagine secundarã The Child Ambassador against Climate Change campaign competition went off for its second edition in 2009.
The aim of the project was to raise public awareness in Romania regarding this year’s UNFCCC COP 15 that took place in Copenhagen, Denmark. Our target group was represented by the secondary-school pupils. They had to create a campaign instrument that tackled climate change in order to enter the competition. The pupils’ campaign materials had to be addressed to the communities they were living in, thus raise awareness regarding climate change and the stake of the COP 15 at local level.  [more]

imagine secundarã The project aims to promote sustainable transport in Bucharest, as a solution to greenhouse gas emissions’ reduction, having as main target group the users of surface public transport in Bucharest, as well as local public authorities.

The project’s specific objectives are:
1. raising the population and local public authorities’ awareness about greenhouse gas emissions reduction though the use of public transport;
2. increasing the level of promotion of the “Bucharest Transport Master plan”, in the sense of a better promotion of the public transport and encouraging the population to use it.

This project is implemented in 5 towns in Romania: Bucharest, Constanta, Galati, Calarasi and Moreni.

Objectives:
1) To raise awareness and level of information regarding nuclear energy among high school pupils and teachers in 5 Romanian towns;
2) To increase the level of involvement in environmental protection activities, particularly nuclear energy related ones, of high school pupils and teachers in 5 Romanian towns.

The aim of the project is to increase the level of awareness and involvement of Romanian civil society in the public participation process regarding environmental decision-making on nuclear facilities.  [more]

Over 2,000 people would be directly affected by the construction of an overpass in Bucharest. The project would damage multi-storey residential buildings by means of vibrations, life conditions would be affected during a construction period of at least 3 years, while the operation of the overpass would bring a significant increase in chemical and phonic pollution, as well as a major change in landscape. The affected community has protested against the project since 2003, but hasn't managed to change the plans of the local authorities. Moreover, the municipality repeatedly broke the law while developing the project (the legislation regarding transparency and public participation in decision-making, environmental impact assessment, construction permitting, public acquisitions).  [more]
